Lab Operations Assistant 1

The Lab Operations team provides hands-on support to Research Staff and Operations. Support includes, but is not limited to, biological tube prep labelng, sample QC, sample shipment, internal sample transfers, maintaining inventory levels of communal supplies, centralized company-wide ordering for supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Tube capping.
- Tube labeling, including racking and filling tubes with 10% NBF and RNALater.
- Cleaning and sterilization of Hamilton Syringes and Gavage needles for research staff.
- Sample QC-1 for internal transfers to Mol Pharm, IHC, and Bioanalysis.
- Assisting in packing shipments (domestic and international).
- Sample inventory in freezers and fridges.
- Maintain and organize lab supplies.
- For staff supporting company stock maintenance, supply inventory, including unpacking and organizing stock. Send list of needed supplies for ordering to maintain stock.
- For staff supporting EHS, keep track of waste and audit laboratory/office areas to update management with any compliance issues.
Required Skills/Qualifications:

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to embrace shifting priorities and be adaptable to sudden changes in the workflow.
- Must be self-motivated with a focus on quality and productivity.
- Prior experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred.
